Testa Produce

Testa Produce is a family-owned and operated produce distributor in business for over a century. They serve restaurants, hotels, schools, country clubs, sporting arenas and hospitals from Wisconsin to central Illinois. Testa's LEED-Platinum refrigerated food service facility designed by Epstein was the first of its kind in the U.S. The warehouse features sustainable technologies including a 750-kilowatt wind turbine and solar panels that together produce an average of 35 percent of the building’s energy needs. Testa Produce also has a solar thermal hot water system for heating water; an extensive system that recovers rainwater for non-potable purposes; LED lighting and skylighting; a vegetated roof; and compressed natural gas (CNG) and bio-diesel delivery trucks.
